Why We Built CraftHire
Skilled trades hiring is broken. Contractors post on Indeed, get flooded with unqualified applicants, and pay thousands for the privilege. Licensed journeymen and certified technicians get buried in noise — competing with people who've never held a wrench.
530,000 skilled trade jobs sit unfilled in the US right now. Not because the workers don't exist. Because the tools for finding them were built for office jobs.
CraftHire fixes the signal problem. Every candidate on our platform is verified before employers can see them — license uploaded, trade confirmed, reviewed by a real person. Employers get qualified applicants. Tradespeople get seen by employers who know what they're hiring.
We built this to be useful, not impressive. Flat pricing, no recruiter markup, no algorithmic black holes. Just a direct line between the people who need work done and the people who know how to do it.
"The trades built this country. They deserve a hiring platform built for them."
CraftHire was built by Carisa Fisher to create a more direct, practical hiring platform for the skilled trades. We're focused on one thing: helping employers connect with qualified workers faster, with less noise and more clarity.
